mindfulness - texture to life, yoga and mindfulness the pillars of our lives, supporting
consciously aware, open and curious, gentle/friendly stance, suspening judgment
think of mindfulness as the texture, flavor of life. While it is an innate quality and we certainly wouldn’t be able to conduct our lives without a sprinkle of mindfulness, the degree to which we relate to each moment varies. We can float on the surface of life, barely aware of how we feel or how we relate to others and the environment. However, we can learn to cultivate this capacity for presence and dive deeper into experiences and feel our lives enriched by the textures, the multiplicity, complexity, and interconnectedness that are ever present, if we just pay attention/open up. When I am more aware of the shifting landscape of thoughts, emotions, bodily and sensory information, I feel myself aligning to the cycles of nature at large, something that brings me peace and groundedness. Yoga: supports me from the ground up and allows for space within to open for energy/prana, compassion, creativity to flow.
